How we help
Civil litigation
Money suits, possession suits, declaration suits and specific performance suits under the Contract Act 1872 and the Specific Relief Act 1877. Temporary and permanent injunctions to prevent harm or preserve the status quo. Appeals and revisions where a lower court decision is challenged. We advise on the strength of your case, available remedies, evidence requirements and realistic timelines.
Writ petitions
Article 102 writ petitions challenging unlawful action by government bodies or public authorities. Maintainability depends on the nature of the action, the authority involved and whether administrative remedies are exhausted. We advise on suitable grounds, interim relief and the prospects of success. Examples include RAJUK decisions, regulator orders and administrative action affecting property or rights.
Criminal matters arising from commercial disputes
Complaints and defence in criminal matters linked to business, property or cheques where the statutory elements are met. Bail applications and quashment petitions subject to the applicable law. We assess whether criminal proceedings are appropriate and advise on available remedies.
Execution of decrees
Enforcement of court judgments and decrees through execution proceedings. We advise on execution strategy, attachment of assets and the available remedies to recover sums awarded by the court.

Read full profileA claim prepared for the correct forum
A strong narrative is not enough without jurisdiction, standing, a sustainable cause of action and admissible evidence. We identify what must be proved, the available records and any procedural defect. Appeals and revisions need particular attention to the challenged order, record and applicable limits on review.
Interim protection and practical recovery
An injunction, stay or other urgent application requires its own legal basis and supporting evidence. We assess immediate risks alongside the substantive case, without assuming that urgent relief will be granted. Enforcement and the opponent’s assets should be considered when evaluating settlement, litigation costs and the practical value of a judgment.
Documents to prepare
Begin with a short non-confidential outline, parties’ names and urgent dates. After the initial checks, we agree which of the following records are needed and how to share them.
- Pleadings, certified orders and judgments, and the case number
- Proof of service, hearing dates and any appeal or filing deadline
- Contemporaneous records, correspondence and a dated chronology
- Witness details, relief sought and information relevant to enforcement
Common questions
Frequently asked questions
Which court should hear my claim?
The subject, parties, value, territory and statutory framework determine jurisdiction. A specialised forum may displace an ordinary civil claim. We review the documents and requested relief before advising where and how proceedings should begin.
How long do I have to file?
Limitation and procedural deadlines depend on the claim, triggering event, order and applicable law. Some require urgent action. Provide dates and proof of service at the first enquiry, even if negotiations are continuing.
When is a writ petition appropriate?
Article 102 provides a public-law jurisdiction, but maintainability depends on the action, authority, rights and available remedies. A writ is not a universal substitute for an ordinary suit or statutory appeal. We assess the grounds and any urgent application separately.
Can a dispute be settled instead?
Negotiation, mediation or arbitration may be suitable where legally available and consistent with the agreement. We consider authority, enforceability, costs and the parties’ positions. Settlement is not always quicker, and discussions should not cause a filing deadline to be missed.
What governs procedure and evidence?
The applicable procedural and evidence legislation, court rules and any special statute govern the proceeding. Civil and criminal cases follow different processes. We identify the issues, preserve relevant records and plan witness or expert evidence appropriate to the forum.
