Process

How to instruct us

Send an initial summary

Send a short non-confidential summary including parties' names, relevant jurisdictions, key dates and the assistance requested. Keep your initial enquiry brief.

Conflict and availability checks

We will conduct conflict and availability checks. If there are no conflicts, we will discuss the scope of work, fees and next steps.

Agree scope and fees

Scope, fees and reporting arrangements must be agreed in writing before work begins. Confirm acceptance of your instruction in writing.

Confidential documents

Confidential documents should only be sent through an agreed channel after confirmation of the instruction. Do not send confidential material with your initial enquiry.

An initial enquiry does not create a professional engagement or confirm that the chamber can act.

Specialist expertise

International specialist services

International criminal law and ICC matters

Legal research and case preparation concerning genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes, jurisdiction, admissibility and modes of responsibility. We assist with evidence chronologies, witness and victim documentation, communications and submissions, and Bangladesh legal issues arising in international proceedings.

INTERPOL notices, diffusions and CCF applications

Review of Red Notices, other notices and diffusions, together with requests to the Commission for the Control of INTERPOL's Files for access to, correction or deletion of personal data. We assess compliance issues, alleged political character, human rights concerns and supporting court records, and prepare written representations and authorised applications through the prescribed process.

Extradition, surrender and mutual legal assistance

Assessment of the applicable domestic law, treaty framework, requesting authority, warrants and supporting evidence. We assist with Bangladesh proceedings, requests for evidence and criminal cooperation, and coordinate overseas counsel on arrest, bail, surrender and extradition challenges.

International human rights and UN mechanisms

Research, evidence preparation and submissions concerning civil, political, economic and social rights. We assess potential communications to UN treaty bodies and Special Procedures, including admissibility, consent, treaty acceptance, and exhaustion requirements where relevant.

International humanitarian law and accountability

Analysis of armed conflict classification, protection of civilians, detention, targeting and accountability under the applicable humanitarian law framework. We support factual chronologies, documentary analysis and legal research for counsel, organisations and affected persons.

Investment treaty and investor–State dispute assessment

Initial analysis of nationality, qualifying investment, treaty protection, State measures, consent, time requirements and dispute resolution clauses. We assist with factual and legal research, notices, local law evidence and dispute prevention, coordinating specialist treaty counsel for detailed merits advice or proceedings.

International asset recovery, fraud and enforcement

Evidence-led assessment of fraud, beneficial ownership, asset locations and available civil recovery routes. We assist with Bangladesh proceedings, judgment and arbitral award enforcement, insolvency coordination and requests for protective relief where available.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

Can overseas firms instruct us directly?

Yes, subject to conflict checks and agreed terms. We work with overseas solicitors, barristers' chambers and in-house legal teams. Scope, fees and reporting arrangements must be agreed in writing before work begins.

Can you act outside Bangladesh?

We provide advice on Bangladesh law and representation before Bangladesh courts and tribunals. For advice on foreign law, you will need appropriately authorised counsel in that jurisdiction. We can coordinate with your overseas counsel on strategy and evidence.

Can you assist with arbitration and foreign awards?

Yes. We advise on arbitration clauses, seat selection and Bangladesh-related court support. Subject to applicable law and grounds, we can advise on enforcement of foreign awards in Bangladesh courts. We review arbitration clauses, seat provisions and relevant documents to advise on Bangladesh law issues and enforcement prospects.

Does an INTERPOL deletion request stop extradition?

A CCF request concerns the processing of data in INTERPOL's system. Arrest, domestic warrants and extradition require separate consideration under the relevant national law; a deletion request does not automatically suspend them.

Do you provide expert evidence?

Yes. We provide independent expert opinions on Bangladeshi law, subject to our expertise, conflicts of interest, availability and the relevant forum's requirements. Learn more about expert evidence services.

What should I send initially and how are fees calculated?

Send a short non-confidential summary including parties' names, relevant jurisdictions, key dates and the assistance requested. Do not send confidential documents initially. After conflict checks, we will discuss scope and provide a fee estimate. Fees are agreed in writing before work begins.

Can you assist with international human rights matters?

Yes. We assist with research, evidence preparation and submissions concerning civil, political, economic and social rights. We assess potential communications to UN treaty bodies and Special Procedures, including admissibility and exhaustion requirements where relevant.

Do you guarantee removal of a notice or success in arbitration?

No. We assess the evidence, legal grounds, forum and available procedure before recommending a course. Decisions remain with the relevant court, tribunal or authority.

Official resources and next steps

A Red Notice is not an international arrest warrant. ICC advocacy is subject to counsel eligibility and appointment requirements. Expert evidence is independent and subject to the receiving forum’s rules.
